Nelson Mandela, hero of the fight against the apartheid racist regime and the first black president of the democratic regime in South Africa , died Thursday at the age of 95 years.
Although sick, he had supported the Jamahiriya and Muammar Gaddafi without fail, at a time when most African countries and leaders had abandoned or betrayed the Libyan leader . And when the African Union showed its guilty inability to defend an African state attacked by the U.S. and NATO, and especially this great Pan-African leader, the true father of the AU that was Gaddafi.
Of Gaddafi , Mandela had said in Tripoli itself that he was "one of the revolutionary legends of the Century ." And that without him , the ANC could never lead the fight . Mandela had even given the name of ' Gaddafi ' to one of his grand-sons . This is also what the West has charged Gaddafi by destroying his Jamahiriya.
Hypocritical praise of Mandela by Western politicians and leaders of the EU and U.S. are a disgrace . The silence should prevail ! Mandela deserves praise : that of those who fight for the Peoples’ Cause. And not that of those who oppress and exploit .
